Website Traffic Generation

By Gilbert Medina On January 28, 2010 2 Comments

Alright! The day has arrived that we FINALLY get to dive in this part of my 30 day challenge and I can start teaching you some AWESOME WEBSITE TRAFFIC GENERATION techniques!

Are You Ready? OK. Let’s Go…

Welcome to day 11 of my 30 day challenge to psoting nothing but good content on my blog for your education and learning!

What I want to talk about today is how to easily start getting tons of website traffic to your website.

Today’s topic is going to be on how to get traffic through Classified Ads.

Classified ads are one of the best ways to advertise your website or business on the internet. The best thing is most of them are FREE to use! That’a always a biggy. Some of them will have upgrades and they provide some really good traffic.

Here’s how you can start writing profit-pulling classified ads for some killer Website Traffic Generation!

1. You need to have a compelling headling. This is going to be the fist thing targeted visitors will see. You headline is going to be the thing that drives the visitor to click on your link and see your site. You can go to classified sites and see what others are using. What triggers you to click on someone’s link?

2. You can provide photographs and pictures in some of your ad sites. Do this if you are allowed in the classified sites.

3. Use bullet points in your ads as well. They will give the visitor some insight into your website. Make sure the bullet points aren’t too long or people might just pass your site up.

4. Last but not least. You NEED a call to action. Give them a reason to go to your site. What are you offering? Make sure it is of real value and NOT junk! Tell them to buy. Tell them to click the link.

Here’s a quick note:

When your going through the classified sites, make sure to copy ads that grab your attention. Save them in a WORD DOCUMENT. Start doing this, and over time, you will have tons of ads that bring you in a ton of traffic to your site.

I have hundreds that I have collected.

Craigslist Marketing

By Gilbert Medina On December 17, 2008 5 Comments

If you want more traffic to your website or blog, Craigslist is one of the best places to get free unlimited traffic to your site. You’re not looking for traffic you’re looking for targeted traffic, and Craigslist = quality targeted traffic.

Here I’m going to give you a few tips to posting on Craigslist to get the most out of your time and efforts.

First, never post the same ad to multiple cities, this is considered cross posting and SPAM. It might work for a while for some people but sooner or later Craigslist robots will stop you right in your tracks. Your ads will start getting flagged and you’ll wonder why.

Instead of posting the same ad all across Craigslist, you can mix it up a little by switching up headline and body with each ad, while still promoting the same product or service.

You must use different IP addresses to help avoid getting flagged. Craigslist knows you by your IP address(your computer’s identity.) Try to change your IP address between every 10 post.
You also want to change e-mail accounts very often. Post no more than 10 ads per day on one e-mail account. After you have posted 10 ads or less on one e-mail account, then create another account, but don’t forget to change your IP address in between.

You can change your IP address by using a proxy at proxy.org. This is vital to getting lots of traffic through Craigslist.

No matter how much traffic Craigslist gets, if you don’t have eye popping headlines and a short brief ad, you will be wasting your time.

Make your headline so that it will draw urgency or curiosity to the reader. Here’s an example: If your selling a bike, your ad could say something like this: “can your bike do this?” See this headline will draw curiosity to the reader to click your ad to see what’s happening.
You’ll never know unless you try it.
